SIONYX Nightwave Digital is Now Raymarine Compatible, Bringing NightIQ™-Powered Night Vision to Axiom Chartplotters

SIONYX Nightwave Digital, powered by NightIQ™ image-optimization technology, is now compatible with Raymarine Axiom chartplotters, delivering native helm integration for boaters who demand clear, intuitive full-color night vision.

BEVERLY, Mass., June 30, 2026 — SIONYX, a leader in advanced marine night vision, today announced that Nightwave Digital™ powered by NightIQ™ image-optimization technology is now compatible with Raymarine Axiom chartplotters running LightHouse OS. The collaboration makes SIONYX Nightwave Digital a part of Raymarine’s LightHouse Apps & Integrations platform, giving Raymarine customers seamless access to full-color, intuitive ultra-low-light night vision directly at the helm.

Nightwave Digital is built around SIONYX's proprietary Black Silicon CMOS sensor technology trusted by the government and recreational users worldwide to deliver full-color, high-resolution video in conditions as dark as moonless starlight (less than 0.001 lux). With a 44° horizontal field of view, 1280×1024 resolution, and detection ranges of up to 300 meters for a person and 2 nautical miles for a marine vessel, Nightwave Digital provides boaters with a more intuitive nighttime image for improved situational awareness and navigational safety.

Key to Nightwave Digital’s performance and native chartplotter integration is NightIQ™, SIONYX's image-optimization software platform introduced in February 2026. NightIQ is a software-defined platform that adapts how Nightwave Digital processes and presents nighttime imagery for use in real marine conditions. Key capabilities of NightIQ include:

·       Enhanced low-light image processing reduces noise and improves detail in dark and mixed-lighting environments

·       Condition-based presets including Harbor, Dark Night, High Contrast, and Day enable user-selectable image optimization directly on the chartplotter display

·       Bright-Lights Region of Interest (ROI) intelligently manages glare from docks, bridges, and shoreline lighting

·       Enhanced RTSP video stream controls and improved network handling for reliable performance on shared, IP-based marine networks

·       Secure HTTPS access and improved network diagnostics for simplified installation and troubleshooting on complex networks

The Raymarine compatibility enables native LightHouse platform integration that elevates the experience for both installers and boaters. Nightwave Digital is automatically discovered on the vessel network and controlled directly from the Raymarine Axiom display without the need for a separate controller, secondary display, or manual configuration. Camera controls, image presets, and video feeds are accessible alongside charts, radar, and navigation data, supporting a clean helm layout and natural situational awareness workflow.

“NightIQ was designed to make Nightwave Digital perform like a native part of the vessel’s navigation system and the Raymarine compatibility is exactly what that looks like in practice,” said Brit Wanick, General Manager of SIONYX Marine. “Raymarine customers can now add high-performance, full-color night vision to their existing Axiom setup with confidence that the system will work the way they expect it to. That’s the goal: less setup friction, more time on the water.”

Nightwave Digital is available at SIONYX.com and through authorized SIONYX marine dealers and distributors. The system connects via Power over Ethernet (PoE) and supports flexible configurations including one camera to multiple MFDs or multiple cameras to a single display.
