NightIQ™ Software Platform for Nightwave Digital Delivers Advanced Night Vision for Boaters

Beverly, Mass. - 05 February 2026 - SIONYX, a leader in advanced marine night vision, today announced NightIQ™, a new image-optimization software platform for its Nightwave Digital marine night vision camera. NightIQ delivers meaningful improvements in low-light performance, system integration, and usability through software alone—without requiring new hardware.

Designed specifically for real-world marine operating conditions, NightIQ enhances how Nightwave Digital processes and presents nighttime imagery. The platform introduces updated image-processing technology that improves low-light detail and reduces noise in dark, moonless and mixed-lighting environments. The result is clearer, more intuitive images for boaters navigating after dark.

NightIQ also introduces condition-based presets such as Harbor, Dark Night, High Contrast, Day, and Custom, allowing operators to optimize image performance quickly without manual tuning. A Bright-Lights Region of Interest (ROI) feature helps manage glare from docks, bridges, and shoreline lighting, preserving image quality and visibility in challenging marine environments.

Beyond image quality, NightIQ strengthens Nightwave Digital’s integration with leading multifunction display (MFD) platforms. Automatic camera discovery, native control panels, and selectable integration options allow Nightwave Digital to operate more like a native sensor for common marine displays. Enhanced RTSP stream controls, improved network handling, and secure HTTPS access increase reliability on shared and complex onboard IP-based networks.

Importantly for installers and owners, all NightIQ enhancements are delivered as a software update to existing Nightwave Digital systems. This allows previously installed Nightwave Digital cameras to benefit from the new platform capabilities without hardware replacement, reducing complexity and extending the night vision systems value.
